‘형용사 + 일반명사’의 해석방법

형용사 : 술어로 해석한다

일반명사 : 주격(-은/는/이/가‘로 해석한다.

‘형용사 + 명사’는 ‘술어 + 주어’로 바꾸어 해석하면 우리말에 어울리는 경우가 많다.

timid는 ‘소심한’도 좋지만 ‘용기가 없는’도 좋은 해석이다.

일부 단어의 철자 개혁만하고 철자 전부를 바꿀 용기가 없다라는 의미이다.
